How the paper is set
What the theory paper is worth, section by section.
| Section | Question type | Pattern | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| Section A | MCQs | 64 × 0.75 | 48 |
| Section B | SRQs | 7 × 4 | 28 |
| Section C | ERQs | 3 × 8 | 24 |
| Theory total | 100 | ||
Marks align with the latest Federal Board (FBISE) Assessment Framework (Grade-XI) under the Inclusive Scheme of Studies 2024 (48% MCQs / 52% Descriptive) for the 2026-27 session.

Start here
Study these chapters first.
Three chapters carry 51.6% of the theory paper — Ch 3 Vectors, Ch 7 Mathematical Induction and Binomial Theorem, Ch 9 Trigonometric Functions. Master these first.
The next three — Ch 6 Permutation and Combination, Ch 1 Complex Numbers, Ch 2 Matrices and Determinants — add 28.8%, taking the running total to 80.4%.
The remaining chapters share the last 19.6%. LAST here does not mean skip — every one of them can set MCQs and short questions.
